Proposed format for WC3
Jake and Ray have been working hard in the background to come up with a WC
structure that will allow a lot more anglers to feel more involved.
We have sketched out the main changes that we would like to apply for the
next WC below.
The main difference is that the match will be split into sections and awards
will be given for top anglers of each section and also Golden Hooks for individuals.
We feel that many anglers are becoming disinterested because no matter how
hard they try they cannot compete with the major players.
This new system will give almost any angler a chance to gain some points for
the team.We would like all captains to read and comment on this structure
and your ideas and comments will be considered for inclusion. As the structure
is changing so much we are also considering renaming the bi-annual event
"FS2 Olympics" what do you think?

| START UP |
Initial positions will be determined from individual results
at end of WC2. Only anglers on team lists will be added. |
| SECTIONS |
There will be 7 sections - 15 in A to F, 10 in Div G (Total 100).
Section A will initially have the highest ranking anglers. |
| WEEKLY |
Every week an angler's position within his/her league is determined
by bag weight.
Medals will be awarded in each section each week: 1st gold, 2nd silver,
3rd bronze. (21 per week)
Golden Hooks will be awarded for Smallest and Biggest fish (any specie)
in each section. (14 per week) |
| 2 WEEKLY |
Every 2 weeks the top and bottom 2 in each section are moved (after
weekly results applied).
(N/A to top of Div A and bottom of Div G). |
| TEAM CHANGES |
Captains may put NEW anglers in slots where an angler leaves but only at the start of each 2 week period.
Captains may not move anglers between sections. Any angler returning will be placed in the section he/she was in when he/she left or a lower one if there are no spare places in the section he/she was previously in. |
| MANAGEMENT |
Captains will have a screen where they can add/remove anglers. (If
Ray has time to ccode this) if not posts in forum will be used. |
| GENERAL |
The basic rules for WC2 will apply.
Any ties will be decided by total number of fish caught.
VFISH logging system (Speccy screen) will be used - NOT FSERV.
FSERV cannot record sufficient information.
Rejoins are not allowed - crashed or split sessions must be refished on refish day (announced on Forum).
The server will be open from 8am Fri to 8am Sat, last entry 7am Sat. Refishes 11am to
6pm on Sat - All times are GMT.
Venues, Pegs and times will be selected by the Vfish automatic venue selector.
* Anglers must change their own settings. If they select wrong the catches will not count.
Catchlogs must always be submitted in case of any dispute. |
The reason we are changing is to give everyone a chance of contributing
- we hope you will agree with our recommendations.
THIS IS NOT THE START GRID - JUST AN EXAMPLE
I have only used the results of the individuals after WC2-13 to make the
table so we have too many anglers and some will be removed.
